Class Description: Join us for this summer edition of our popular studio class! Use your actors tools of voice, body and imagination to learn classic and contemporary musical theater songs, light choreography and storytelling skills!
Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process based on the theme of the class
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes
Location Information: The entire program will take place at Madison Youth Arts, 1055 East Mifflin Street.
# of Students in Class: 23 students. There are 2 professional teaching artists and 1 Teaching Assistant Interns.
Experience Expectations: We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register though this program is tailored for beginners.
Program Type: This one week program invites students to learn music, singing, dance and storytelling skills. The program culminates in a sharing for families.
