Class Description:  In this class, students will apply acting techniques and improvisation to learn and play a Dungeons & Dragons inspired role playing game. This class is a great opportunity for students to engage in creative world-building, to dig into a specific character and to apply improvisation skills to episodic storytelling.

Program Type: In this process based program, students will: - Build acting, performance, & theater skills - Participate in a collaborative process - Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community - Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance - Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes.

Class Location Information: The program will take place at MYArts, 1055 East Mifflin Street, Madison. There is free street parking and also $2/hr parking at MYArts. There is a community space where families can wait while their student is in class.

First Day Information: There will be an optional, informal opportunity to learn more about the programs on Day 1.

# of Students in Class: 13-15 students. There is 1 professional teaching artist.

Experience Expectations: This class is for both beginners and for those with some previous experience.

  • Final Sharing: Saturday, March 12, 2022 at MYArts Center. Family and friends are welcome! COVID policies: At this time, CTM’s mask wearing / social distancing policies are TBD. We will be following CDC guidelines as well the policies of MYArts.
