Class Description: In this spooky, artistic presentation of several short stories by Edgar Allen Poe, tales of woe and wonder are strung together by an ensemble of ghoulish “Shudders” that tie the stories together. Featuring stories such as “The Raven” and the “Tell Tale Heart” among others.

Program Type: This 2 week program invites students to perform a play! Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes
Location Information: The entire program will take place at Madison Youth Arts, 1055 East Mifflin Street. See Covid Procedures link below for Pick Up/Drop off procedures
# of Students in Class: 10-15 students. There are 2 professional teaching artists and 1-2 Teaching Assistant Interns.
Experience Expectations: We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register.

9:35–9:45 Snack – We’re a nut free camp
9:45–10:30 Morning Workshop (Dance, Music or Acting)
10:30–11:15 Morning Workshop (Dance, Music, or Acting)
11:15–11:35 Lunch
11:35–12:50 Rehearsal
12:50-1:00 Clean up/Acknowledgements
1:00 Dismissal
Final Class Sharing: We will hold a final sharing on the last day of the program. More info to come two weeks prior to class.
