Class Description: Have something to say? Join the brilliant Madison poet, PF'anique Hill, as she guides students through the tools needed to create and deliver a powerful spoken work piece! Learn about the art form of slam poetry and apply theater skills to bring that piece to life.

Note: As we seek to create a safe space for students to express themselves, we want to offer a potential warning to participants with regards to topics discussed or language that may appear in student written poems.

Program Type: Our Next Step Series is a menu of 5 session special topics classes led by leaders in their field providing students with the opportunity to explore different avenues of the performing arts while working with artists from across the country.
