Class Description: Join us for a week of music, creativity, and more! Sing new tunes, learn light choreography, and tell stories through song.

Program Type: Our one-week programs focus on process over product. The theater skills gained will not only prepare them for improving their music, dance and acting skills, but also prepare them for life! Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process based on the theme of the class
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes

Log In Information: Our Virtual classes will take place over zoom, google classroom, and flipgrid. You will be provided with the necessary links and information prior to the program taking place. Our virtual theater classes are active, fun, and participatory. All of our classes would include activities/breaks away from the computer. We will provide a combination of learning modules: both live workshops over zoom with teaching artists *and* pre-recorded workshop videos from teaching artists.

# of Students in Class: 10-15 students. There are 2 professional teaching artists, 1 Teaching Assistant Intern and 1 High School Intern.

Experience Expectations: We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register.

9am-9:45am- Welcome & Warm Ups over Zoom
9:45am-10:00am- Snack, away from Screen
10am-10:45am- Music Workshop over Zoom
10:45am-11:00am- Break away from Screen
11:00am-11:45am- Acting/Dance workshop over Zoom
11:45am-12:00pm – Closing Activities, Set Up Asynchronous Project & Dismissal

  • Every program will have a supply list emailed 2 weeks before the class begins. Supplies may be arts and crafts related or costume piece related; however, we will plan to be flexible in terms of what students have accessible to them.
