Class Description: Inspired by the imaginative world and iconic characters of Peter Pan, this program will be an exploration of art, music, movement, and creative play!
*There will not be class on July 3.*
Program Type: This two-week program is process oriented. The theater skills gained will not only prepare them for a final showcase, but also prepare them for life! Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes
Pick Up/Drop Off Information: Pick up & Drop off will be at the Henry Street entrance of Overture Center. Families will only need to park on the first day for a 15 minute orientation and the last day to see the final sharing.
# of Students in Class: 20-24 students. There are 3 professional teaching artists, 2 Teaching Assistant Interns and 1 High School Intern.
Experience Expectations: We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register.
