Class Description: Gain classical training in acting, movement, and voice; attend a performance of "Love's Labour's Lost" at American Players Theatre; and perform in a Shakespearean showcase on the final day! *There will be no class on July 3.*
Program Type: This two-week program is ideal for theater enthusiasts who want a more in depth experience focusing on a particular aspect of theater. Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes
Pick Up/Drop Off Information: Pick up/Drop off at Madison Opera (335 W Mifflin St). Families will only need to park on the first day for orientation and the last day to see the final sharing.
# of Students in Class: 15-20 students. There are 2 professional teaching artists, 1 Teaching Assistant Intern & 1 High School Intern.
Experience Expectations: Previous acting experience is suggested for this program.

Final Performance: July 2, 4:15pm, Playhouse Theater, Overture Center.
Additional Notes:
- APT Field Trip: Students will travel by bus to APT for dinner, a tour of the costume stock, a conversation with an APT staff member, & a live performance! Students will be dropped off in Madison around midnight at one of three pick-up locations (downtown, east side, and west side). Families who wish to attend may buy discounted tickets through CTM.
- Aftercare is NOT available for this camp.
