Book Description: George and Blaise are pen pals, and they write letters to each other about everything. There’s just one thing that the two friends don’t know: George is a human, while Blaise is a dragon! What will happen when these pen pals finally meet face-to-face?

Program Type: On school vacation days, bring your favorite stories to the stage through playmaking. Geared for students grades K-3, this day long program incorporates theater games, storytelling, and character building activities. At the end of the day, students will share their version of the story with family and friends.

Class Location Information: Location TBD. This class will be held in downtown Madison, but not at the CTM Studio. In the past, classes have also been held at Overture Center (201 State St), Madison Opera (335 W Mifflin St), and Austin Place (111 N. Fairchild Street). There will be a brief orientation for parents at the beginning of the day.

# of Students in Class: 15-20 students. There will be 2 professional teaching artists.

Experience Expectations: This class is open to students of all experience levels.

Typical Daily Schedule:
9-9:15am – Orientation
9:15-10:15am – Name Games, Ensemble Exercises
10:15-10:30am – Snack
10:30am-12pm – Read the story, explore characters & world of the book, etc.
12-1 – Lunch / Refocus Activities
1-2:30pm – Art Project, Story Creation, & Final Run through of Final Sharing
2:30-3pm – Final Sharing

Final Sharing: 2:30pm, same location as class. Family and Friends Welcome!
