Class Description: For the imaginative performer in your life! From the pages of popular storybooks, students will learn the basics of story telling and bring characters to life through the tools of an actor (body, voice, and imagination).
Program Type: This is a Creative Drama class, which means students will use their imaginations, explore their creativity through storytelling, and engage with the theme of the class through theater games appropriate for their age level. Creative Drama encourages collaboration, builds social skills, and promotes early literacy.
Class Location Information: Location TBD. This class will be held in downtown Madison, but not at the CTM Studio. In the past, classes have also been held at Austin Place (111 N. Fairchild Street) and Bethel Lutheran Church (312 Wisconsin Ave).
First Day Information: On the first day of the program, there will be a brief orientation for parents.
# of Students in Class: 10-12 students. There is 1 professional teaching artist.
Experience Expectations: Students should be comfortable participating in extracurricular activities without a parent/guardian present.
Final Sharing: May 16. Location is TBD, but will be in a downtown, accessible space. Family and friends welcome!
