Class Description: Best of Broadway students will use the basics of acting for musical theater (body, voice, and imagination) to learn songs based on the theme of the class, develop confidence, and work as an ensemble. Every student will gain vocal skills, learn light choreography, and expand their knowledge of musical theater!

Program Type: In this process based program, students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative process
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes

Class Location Information: The program will take place at Children’s Theater of Madison, 228 State Street in downtown Madison. This is not the same as Overture Center! There is a lobby space where families can wait while their student is in class. Please know that there are two flights of stairs leading up to the classroom space (If your student requires an accessible space, email education@ctmtheater.org immediately).

First Day Information: On the first day of the program, there will be a brief orientation for parents.

# of Students in Class: 13-15 students. There is 1 professional teaching artist.

Experience Expectations: This class is for students who would like to try musical theater for the first time as well as the students with some previous musical theater experience.

Final Sharing: March 14. Location is TBD, but will be in a downtown, accessible space. Family and friends welcome!
