WEEK 1: 9am-3:30pm
WEEK 2: 9am-3:30pm
WEEK 3: Tech Week
• Mon-Wed: 9am-5pm
• Thurs: 9-3:30pm & 5:30pm call for 7pm show (with option to stay downtown or be picked up from 3:30-5:30pm)
• Fri: 12pm arrival, Pizza Party at CTM, & stay through the show

Class Description:
Join Little Orphan Annie as she goes from Miss Hannigan’s orphanage to Mr. Warbucks’ mansion, warming the hearts of all she meets. Perform classic songs like “Tomorrow,” “Maybe,” & “Hard Knock Life.”

Program Type: While this program culminates in a performance, it’s rooted in process. Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in the production process
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes

Pick Up/Drop Off Info: Henry Street entrance of Overture Center. Families will only need to park on the first day for orientation & the last day to see the final sharing.

# of Students: 35-40 students. Staff: 3 teaching artists, 1 Production Assistant, 3 Teaching Assistants & 1 high school intern (plus a design team & stage manager).

Experience Expectations: Previous experience strongly suggested.

10:00–10:10 Snack
10:15–10:55 Dance Class
11:00–11:55 Music Class
12:00–12:30 Lunch
12:30–1:00 Refocus
1:00–1:45 Group Rehearsal
1:45–3:20 Break Out Rehearsals
3:20–3:30 Acknowledgements
3:30 Dismissal

*PLEASE NOTE: Week 3 is 9am-5pm.

Final Performance: Thurs 8/8 & Fri 8/9 @ 7pm. Playhouse Theater, Overture Center. $8/ticket.

  • A notebook and pencil
  • A three-ring binder for the script
  • Please wear shoes that will stay on your feet (no flip flops/crocs) and clothes you can move in (no dresses). You can bring dance shoes along if you have them. Wear rehearsal sweats: you're going to be moving!
  • Please wear or bring layers (the temperature in the rooms can vary).
  • A costume designer will be working on your student’s production and will ask families to provide some costuming basics from home (ie: a shirt/pants).
