Students will learn the basics of setting type and printing with a small hand press (a Chandler & Price Pilot Press). The basics of typography, layout, paper, and ink will be discussed, and each student will print personal note cards and a short poem or quotation.

David Crabb learned printing from his father, Jim Crabb, a hobby printer working in the paper and graphic arts industry for over 30 years.
