Let's explore clay together! This class covers the fundamentals of a variety of clay forming techniques including wheel-throwing, slab work, coil building and more. In addition to glazing and gas firing, students also explore alternative firing methods such as raku, horsehair and pit firing, and the use of terra sigillata. Specific class content will be informed by students' interests in these and other areas and by their personal goals for the semester. Students are guided by in-class demonstrations and one-on-one instruction. Instructor email: pbreidenbach@ameritech.net
